QNAP Raid Group 2 ( UX-800U ) disk failed then ISCSI DOWN

Post by mmorier » Thu Apr 15, 2021 9:59 am

We got a TVS-1271U-RP with a UX-800U expansion box.

Look like we maybe have two drive on a raid 5 that stopped working and the box did not have the time to use the spare disk to rebuilt itself.

Unit is currently in readonly, all ISCSI target have unmounted, Raid ground 2 ( External UX-800U ) is currently in rebuilding.

In SSH I see that the rebuilding is VERY SLOW

The ISCSI LAN is block base ( not file base ), is there a way to access the data in READ ONLY and copy it on an other QNAP ?

I have found a documentation for file base ISCSI LUN ( https://www.it-support-singapore.com/it ... -recovery/ ) , but on my side it's BLOC BASE ISCSI lun.

Can you help ?

I need to access this LUN that host XenServer VM

Had a call with QNAP support after I open a ticked on their side ... look like I just have to be very patient that the raid group rebuild himself
