I am setting up iscsi on Qnap 431XeU with this setting:
- Adapter 1 (1GbE)
192.168.xx.xx
- Adapter 2 (1GbE)
192.168.20.99
iSCSI Target List
- just one target
with iqn <iqn> and alias
- connection only from dedicated initiator
- no CHAP
On initiator (Oracle Linux)
- iscsiadm -m discovery -t sendtargets -p 192.168.20.99
- returns:
192.168.20.99:3260,1 <iqn>
253.253.253.253:3260,1 <iqn>
The question is, why qnap answers with the second line ?
I found out, that 253.253.253.253 is an ip address from newly appeared interface "vethhole".
So the correct question is, why Adapter 2 reports vethole as iscsi target interface ?
