Parts

Post by strathss »

Hi,

Is it possible to purchase spare parts for a TS-412U?
Disk slot 2 appears to be faulty on my unit. 3 drives all with the same symptoms of being detected, then dropping out after 1min to 1 day. Same drives in bays 1, 3 and 4.

After having a look inside, there are a few pull marks on the sata cable for this slot.
Are the sata/power cables available for purchase anywhere?

Hi strathss, :)

What are the size, make and model of the HDDs you've installed?

Never dismantled a similar rack-mount model - can you take some pics of the cables, including both ends? Suspect these would be kind of "standard" cables anyway.

I think he meant SATA connectors .. the cables should have only be moved once .. (assembly)

on the non U unit, the drives are connected via pci express riser card

Or, the drives are faulty/wrong type. :(
