TVS-871 RAM suggestions

Post by ragnarlb@gmx.com »

I have a TVS-871 with an i3-4150 CPU. I currently have the 4GB of RAM that came with it but want to upgrade to 16GB of RAM to help my Plex server (and NAS) run smoother.

Do people have any suggestions on what RAM modules to buy and where?

DDR3L is possible as well presumably? Does QNAP deal with it correctly?

Any system can deal with low voltage memory.

Low voltage memory just means that only 1.35v are needed by the chips in order to make the memory writes, low voltage memory chips will work with 1.5v just as well.

However, 1.5v memory chips will not reliable work in a system that only supplies 1.35v for memory writes.

The Crucial CT2KIT102464BF160B are DDR3L and I never experienced any issues with them.
