TS-269L with WD Red 10TB

Post by korazy »

I have a TS-269L and I purchased 2 x WD Red 10TB drives. The drives are tested and work properly, but in the qnap they show a warning and the smart info for temperature shows an outrageously large number (~2 billion C). Is there something I can do to make these compatible/working?

Problem with the warning on the drives is because these drives run very hot. My 2TB drive ran at about 35C, these 10TB drives run a temperature of 50C. Had to change the QNAP warning temperature to 60C.
