Hello all,
This might be an odd request but ever since i bought my TVS-h1668X and added the new WD RED NAS 16TB 7200 rpm i hear this buzzing constantly.
I pulled out all the HD and its silent so the sound comes from the HD's.
So with that said can i some how reduce the rpm for the HD's to say 5400rpm to see if it helps?
The sound is really annoying and i was thinking to have it in my room like my previous TVS 671.
I dont understand why the brackets are so badly designed to be honest! Plastic is not the greatest material for longevity nor is it hard enough to reduce the spinning sound from moving to other parts.....
Any tips you have is appreciated.

Re: Reduce RPM
No..all my NAS are out of earshot..so disk noise does not have an effect here
WD Red Plus are supposed to be the quietest NAS drives already

Re: Reduce RPM
Yeah i thought these were the best. I think the noise comes from the vibration of the dists rotating and a combination of the plastic cases not holding the HD's tight enought. Somehow the vibration spreads inside the NAS....
Really a shame that the disks are the cause of the noise :/
