Samsung 980 M2 SSD not compatible with HS-453DX?

Post by bhwong »

I just purchased two Samsung 980 M2 SSD 1TB and after the installation, QNAP NAS is unable to power up until I remove them.
The QNAP compatibility list only show the outdated Samsung 860 Evo that are no longer available in the marketplace.
What can I do?

The 980 has an NVMe interface, the 860 has a SATA interface.

Looks like you’ll need to stick with SATA drives.
