WeChip W1 Air Mouse & QNAP TS-451

I have been stuck locked out of my TS-451. What I mean is it didn't automatically login like it usually does. Instead, it is a black screen on my tv asking for login details.

So I bit the bullet and bout an Air Mouse. I think once I get my head around it properly, it will be fine, but stuck on a single thing at the moment.

At the login screen I am immediately in the area where I type my username. All good so far. To get the password area to open up, the only way I have been able to do it so far is to hit enter. The password are then appears, but when I now type, nothing appears and after 60 seconds, the login starts again. I have tried page down on the keyboard side of the unit, I have tried any and all keys on the front side; right arrow etc, but nothing allows me to be able to type in the password area

I'm sure it will be the nut holding the wheel, but what key or key combo gets me into the password area so I can type?

The unit is a WeChip W1 Air Mouse.
