Speed test (all apps) disconnect QNAP 672XT

Post by ver2ual »

Up until yesterday I was able to use Blackmagic Speed test on my QNAP 672XT connected via thunderbolt 3 to a 2021 Macbook Pro M1 but now when I try to run any speed test of any kind (AJA, DiskMark, BlackMagic) the app will crash and I get a OS error that the (QNAP) server disconnects, then reconnects, then disconnects, and keeps repeating like that until I force quit the speed test app. The apps will successfully speed test every other system disk, external drives (tried many), and even my old Drobo NAS via 1gbe, but they will no longer test the QNAP and crash immediately- no matter which app or which folder I choose on the QNAP to test. I do notice the the speed test app temp files do show up in the recycle bin in File Station. I have done many speed tests on this QNAP before, and this problem just showed up out of nowhere yesterday... I've rebooted all devices. Reinstalled the apps.

Maybe I changed something?

I'm getting similar issue with speed test versions after loading QTS 4.5.4 2012. I decided to downgrade the firmware to QTS 4.5.4 1931 and it corrected the issues I was seeing.
