Bring it back .. Wifi on the NAS is a bad idea .. (Tons of issues with 3rd party or even QNAPs own adapters)
If you absolutely need wifi on the NAS, use a Wifi Bridge

The screenshot of the compatibility list shows a different model adapter to yours: EDIMAX EW-7822UAN Ver:1.0Atesterbuzz wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 2:58 am And just bouught a wifi to it: "WiFi USB adapter Edimax EW-7811Un V2"

Most Wifi range extenders with a LAN port can run in bridge mode.

Ok, I got a "QNAP QXP-W6-AX200" and it works well - except that its hillariously slow. My laptop connects to wifi and its fast enough. The NAS is next to me and connection to that same network - even the NAS controlling interface loads extremly slow. What can I do?

ok, for example I buy this: "Gembird WNP-RP300-03 300 Mbps" I plug the NAS to lan -> this Gembird Wifi bridge, and it will work? (of course the wifi bridge should connect to my wlan)

Thanks I will give it a try. Hopefully my virtualized Windows will work on internet (turns out that wifi pci is not regarded as physical interface)
