Is there any way to connect SAS drives to a QNAP TVS-473?
I have a QNAP TVS-473 and also now have 6x 10TB SAS drives, is there any way to untilise them with the QNAP? I understand it only takes SATA drives, but is there a cost effective enclosure that can be added to house the additional drives?

A TR-004 for example (4-bay)?
I do not use such expansions, no idea about the costs.
Afaik QNAP does not offer more than 4-bay raid expansion units(?).
But there are several JBOD and DAS expansions with more bays available.

Many thanks, I looked it up but it only supports SATA drives unfortunately.

There is some SAS enclosures..but they are not cheap
https://www.qnap.com/en/product/series/expansion
you can check via the compatibility list, if they work with your NAS
