Question about Storage Pools on Tl-D models like the TL-D1600S or TL-D800S

I see in mode one that you can allocate all the disks to a new storage pool that is exclusive to the expansion device, but are you able to also create multiple storage pools and present them to the NAS (TVS-672XT)? Say in the case of the TL-D1600S the 12 3.5 inch devices to one pool and the 4 2.5 inch devices to another pool? Or do they all have to be added to a single 16 drive pool?
