TS-453D does not boot up
Occasionally when I power on my NAS from the power button, it is very silent because nothing seems to power up. The fan does not start and neither the disks. Only the power and disks LEDs light up and it stays like that forever. Then I would have to pull the power cable from the NAS and put it back in to power up normally.
NAS Model: TS-453D (4G RAM)

Re: TS-453D does not boot up
I highly doubt that one of the HDs is dying since I've only owned the NAS for about 6 months. Still, I will try removing the HDs and see what happens. Thanks.

No not necessarily. It starts and shuts down by the in built scheduler.

Re: TS-453D does not boot up
@PaulAtreidis I misunderstood your previous question, I thought it was a question for myself. Yes you are right NAS are designed to run 24/7 but since I don't use it during the night, I turn it of and on by the scheduler.
Update: I removed the disks and turned the NAS on and off about 7 times and it doesn't seem to the same thing without disks. So, it might be related to the disks. But then again, the disks health is all good.

Re: TS-453D does not boot up
Strange of course, may be an issue with power supply? But if so, why does the issue occurs only ocassionally?
Or does a damaged disk consumes to much power? But also: why only occasionally...?
A six month old NAS? Not sure, if Intel clock bug is to consider here.
Regards

Updates are compromise between old bug patches and new bugs introduced.
do you backup..then kill it with fire
stuff:mikrotik Crs309-1g-8s+in & s+rj10 x4

Re: TS-453D does not boot up
Hello,
I have the same issue with my TS-453D with 32GB ram (Kingston recomended for this model 2x KVR26S19D8/16).
Have you finally found a solution for this?

Re: TS-453D does not boot up
Official max supported RAM memory on this model is 8 GB. https://www.qnap.com/en/product/ts-453d/specs/hardware
Try with the original modules..
