Hey guys,
So I've been running the Samsung - 970 EVO Plus 1TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe Model:MZ-V7S1T0B/AM in RAID 1 for system. Recently had slot 2 fail and now finding out slot 1 has bad blocks.
Does anyone have any other recommended M.2 SSD I should use for my RAID 1 set? or should I just try Samsung again
Thoughts?

Re: M.2 SSD recommendation
You can’t go wrong with the drives recommended by qnap for whatever has this is. Samsung seems to be having problems on newer models with the firmware. Google that for more info. I personally would be curious to see the smart values of the ssd.
At least you could see if it’s the ssd or something with the nas

Okay, yeah. I'm not going to buy another Samsung. If I have to worry about these failing, I just went with Crucial (off the QNAP compatibility list) as they're cheaper and at my local Best Buy. I have 2 samsung claims under warranty.
I "think" you wanted to see the smart values of the Samsung drives? Just in case, I posted them for you.

Weird that nothing looks wrong with the values. Go figurepinoylicious wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 3:36 am Okay, yeah. I'm not going to buy another Samsung.
