Hi emaus

Sounds great - what is your current disk setup - models/sizes/raid configuration?

I run a Raid5 with 3 Disks:
1st: 5TB WD Blue
2nd: 5TB WD Blue
3rd: 6TB WD Red
-> Price for the 5TB WD Blue was too good, hope it will last in my NAS, but it's not running all the Day.

Greetings

In my case the problem came out only when i've add the 4th disk, before that with 3 disks in raid 5 and 8gb of RAM no problem. Tomorrow i will receive 2x ADATA ADDS1600W4G11-B so i can confirma the Results obtained by nicolai

@becauseht - general Problem seems to be Slot 3+4, so I might also get in trouble...

Thanks for the info emaus :-)

My problems also first showed up when adding the 4th disk, but I should suspect that you would be fine doing so, as you RAM seems identical to mine apart from the size.

Nice - I hope the new RAM will also solve your problems.

I have still not run into any issues, since I changed to the A-data modules ;-)

I have been having the same memory issues for about a month. I followed the BIOS upgrade instructions too and still got the same error with 2 x 4GB of hynix memory: HMT351S6EFR8A-PB

I tried again with 1 x SAMSUNG M471B5173QH0-YK0 4GB DDR3L and I'm up and running with 4 drives. I'm going to try and get an additional 4gb and see if I can run with 8gb and will try to post an update.
Link for memory from Amazon for those interested:

I would also like to report that I have today mounted 2 x ADATA Premier DDR3L1600MHz 4GB Memory Modules (ADDS1600W4G11-S) off Amazon and then added 4th WD Red into my Raid5 and now no disk 3,4 error is showing up.
So far everything is looking great....(fingers crossed)

Good news if finally it works with ADATA modules. :DD
I've found this, http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatibl ... AP/ts-453a

It's a list of compatible upgrades for QNAP TS-451A. There are twice capacities for memory modules. Do someone has experience with them?

Hi Guys... finally no good new: I put in a 4th Disk for Checking and after 2 Minutes Slot 3 and 4 were offline...
So maybe it is the Capacity with 16GB RAM, may be not? Did all of you do the BIOS upgrade? I didn't. Thx
