Hi all,
I'm a new (and proud) owner of a QNAP TS-453B with 4 GB RAM. I was thinking of upgrading to 16GB of RAM (for containers & virtualization), but that doesn't seem to be officially supported by QNAP. I was wondering if any of you have experience with upgrading the RAM of the TS-453B to 16 GB or even 8 GB.

i'm planning to upgrade to 8Gb ( actual 4Gb ). I also have a TS453B. with 4Gb ( ADATA P/N : ADDS186622G13-BSSE).
Does anyone know what will be the crucial P/N that will be Ok ( 2x4Go version ) for exemple ?

Run "dmidecode --type memory" in a shell and get your current memory configuration. Similar modules should work.
Anyhow I assume that only QNAP RAM is officially supported.

Little update, I have just upgraded my memory module to 16 GB.
I've bought these: Kingston HyperX Impact HX318LS11IBK2/16 , it's a kit with 2x 8 GB SODIMM DDR3L-1866. It was kinda the cheapest set I could find in the Netherlands.
So far so good! No errors yet
Just FYI.
