Neilo wrote:Yes, i took the original out and repurposed it The kit you mentioned is almost $400 yikes! When I'm ready, I'll just get another kit later on bump it to 64GB you completely lucked out on the used kit. :)
I waited for prices to drop before my last update. Also watch 2666 vs 2400. I think 2666 was cheaper last time I checked. Won’t hurt being faster in most cases.

Thanks for the information about the memory being available at Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/QNAP-DDR4-2400MH ... way&sr=8-2

I upgraded my TV-882 (uses same memory as TS-x77) from 16 GB to 32 GB and everything is running great. The memory at Amazon was a lot cheaper than what was available at the local dealer in my area (if I wanted the QNAP recommended Transcend memory).

Amazon screwed up the delivery and send me an extra 2x8 GB QNAP-DDR-2400MHz for free to compensate.

Best regards

I wanted 64GB RAM in my TS-877 so after waiting forever for prices to come down I bought CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C14 memory kit for DDR4 Systems from Amazon.com

Further specs at CORSAIR website.

This RAM did NOT work in TS-877.

Now I have to sell it and buy something else. Most likely I will get the Kingston HyperX Fury RAM.

The 2x16gb Red fury I bought for $111 from amazon repackaged looked brand new to me. (and as stated work just fine with the 2x8 originals)

I looked yesterday and there was another 2 for about the same price.

Today gone !

Hello, got tested TS-1277 with 4x 16GB modules. Crucial CT16G4DFD824A works great, Kingston KVR24N17D8/16 won't.

I ended up buying the following 64 GB kit: Kingston HyperX Fury 64GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL15 DIMM (Kit of 4). Official part number HX424C15FB3K4/64

Amazon link is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WF9MKG5

This memory is working fine in my TS-877.

Holy "hobby" spikemixture! You have more hardware than most small businesses!

@BryceWilkins (and anyone else that recently upgraded). Can you report back, is your 2400MHz kit still stable now? Was the 2400 cheaper when you bought?

To Trexx's point earlier, it looks like the 2600MHz is actually cheaper now. Trexx, your HX426C16FBK2/32 is not longer available it looks like. Does this seem like a good gamble to get the faster memory, and does anyone have data against the 2600MHz? I assume anything faster than 2600MHz is much higher risk for working, and not really worth the extra money anyway...?

Just checked on Amazon and the 2400 & 2600 64GB kit are the same price and showing available (US at least).

It should run fine with either, but that is why make sure item is returnable just in case it doesn’t. 2400 is CL15 vs CL16 for 2600.

I would have to double check if at the lower clock speed the CL drops. I don’t recall for sure.
