Noisy HD - WD-Red in TS253D

Post by RandomMen » Mon Apr 19, 2021 4:56 pm

Hello,

I replaced my TS-253 8Gb Pro by a TS-253D.
There are 2 WD-RED HD's populated in the NAS, as 1 volume.

Ever since the NAS is running, the HD is a bit noisy and is clicking/ticking.
According to storage and snapshots, the condition of the drives is good.
I want to put the NAS in the livingroom, but that nois is hard to ignore.

I have checked the drives a few minutes ago. All screws are tightly screwd.

Any options? Disabling a service? :geek: :geek:

Running a full SMART-test.

Will report back with the outcome.

EDIT: It Ran negative, so the drive is healthy.
