Mellanox MCX312B-XCCT and TS-x73 compatibility

Post by youdownwithjpd »

Hi, I picked up a Mellanox MCX312B-XCCT Connect-3 Pro 10Gbe Dual Port card for my TS-873 as it was listed as compatible on the compatibility page. Even with 2 of the proper Intel E10GSFPSR SFP+ modules installed as stated in the release note I'm getting no detection by the QNAP OS, with the card not being listed in either the Hardware nor the Network pages. No connection at the switch.

Are there driver install requirements, like with nvidia GPU boards? Are there in-depth logs somewhere that I could see where errors, if any, are coming from?

I don’t know about the Mellanox card, but I recently installed an Emulex 2x10Gbe SFP+ card in my TVS-x73 box. It worked right away.

I then used the vendors Linux boot image to flash them to most recent firmware while in the Qnap.

They are working great and supported for SVR-IO if doing pass through to Virtual Station.

Thanks so much! While I didn’t get as screaming a deal as you did, I was close and the card I got was instantly recognized and even worked with the SFP+s I had for the Mellanox. Such a relief. Now to resell the old card…
