Printing from Android to NAS USB Printer

Hi, I set up an HP LaserJet 1300 printer on my TS-230 NAS. It works great from my Mac, where I was able to select the printer driver when I configured the printer. But from an Android 10 phone, I have been able to see that the printer is found and print to it, but the printed content is corrupted. I tried installing the HP plugin, but that seems to only be for wifi printer setups. Assuming that the problem here is that I'm missing the necessary driver on my phone, do you have any suggestions about how get that working?
