TS-332X Memory upgrade 32gb ?

Post by Arrowy »

Hello to everyone,

thanks in advance to all folks who give precious advices here.

I do own a 332x which works fine but sometimes I do use the whole 16gb ram.
Has anyone ever tried successffully to use the ARM cpu with 32 gb Ram single stick ( it's the same cpu
inside the newer models 832PX and 932PX) or the Arm is anyway limited to 16 Gb ?

Thanks for Your answers

I've inserted in the 332X 32GB SODIMM 2600 CL 19 2R CRUCIAL CT32G4SFD8266
In the system status it recognises 32GB but it says that I can utilze only 2GB !!!
Static volume.

I previously used with no issues Crucial 16 Gb 2400 Cl 17 CT16G4SFD824A

1- Is it peharps that due to the different frequency a complete format of the system must be done ?
2. Or is it a symptom that it does non recognise correctly the ram because perhaps it is larger than it sholud be?
3. Or it does not like this specific ram module type, and may be a Kingston or Samsung may function correctly ?
4. Otherwise which checks do you advise me to do ? ( beware that I'm in trouble writing through the console management)
Thanks for your help

UPDATE

I've verified inside a NUC6I7KYK that the 32GB SODIMM 2666 CL 19 2R CRUCIAL CT32G4SFD8266 is working flawlessly.

I've then tried inside the 332X a 32GB SODIMM PATRIOT 2400 stick but the result is always the same:

it recognises 32GB but it says that It can utilze only 2GB !!! I have a Static volume.

Last effort would be to format everything, I am reluctant to do so because it would cost me a lot of time.
Do you think it coul work out the problem?
