Home Assistant

Post by Rchiil »

So Am I missing something here as my £1000 qnap box needs a zwave adaptor for home assistant, but a cheap terramaster 210 can run it over a network cable..... really must be missing something here as this does not seem at all right and yes I am testing the 210 for a site at the moment and I was not even going to try but thought to hell with it let me see if it will. :-0

I am just curious why qnap can not run home assistant without the zwave wifi dongle and some code added, yet a much cheaper nas can, I find it quite surprising on why the qnap needs the dongle.

QNAP should actually reduce the amounts of bells and whistles and only integrate core function (reliably and secure)

Bells and whistles like printserver, home assistant, coffemaking or laser shows should be optional stuff, sideloaded by users

here is the docker container
