Hi, I have QGD-1600P.
My current NAS (old but high-end ReadyNAS) is going to retire soon (becoming a backup NAS).
What do you think ... is it a good idea to buy TL-D800C and make QGD-1600P the main NAS?
What USB-3.2 Gen 2 extension card would you recommend in this case? The one they list on their web site (https://www.qnap.com/en-us/product/qgd-1600p, Interface Expansion) has a broken link
Thanks!

No one?
The main question is: Is it a good idea to have a dumb unit with disks connected via USB to the smart switch as the main NAS? Both from performance and security point of view.

I bought it. Not good so far. I put there a brand new Seagate Iron Wolf disk (8TB). After one hour ... "Disk Access History (I/O) Error".
I think it's more probable that it's QNAP problem, not Seagate problem. So scanning sectors (~ 8 hours), no error so far ... I hope it will clean the error, but I'm not sure I can trust this system
