Hi all, i'm a bit of a networking novice, had to have QNAP help my set up my virtual switch on my TS-453D NAS.
I purchased and installed the QXG-10G2T-X710 PCIE network expansion card, and i'm a little confused as to how to set up, and how it should behave. I tried setting up a virtual switch as I have with the 2 2.5GBe ports that are on the NAS, but it seemed like I had issues connecting to the network when I did that.
So,
1. Is there a tutorial somewhere that shows how to set up this expansion card? I'd like it to behave just like my 2 c 2.5GBe virtual switch already set up on the NAS. Whatever I did, it didn't seem to do this correctly.
2. Once it's set up, will the NAS behave like a 4 port switch? (ie, can I connect to any of the 4 ports at my leisure?
Thanks!
Geoff
