TS 219P Max Hard Drive + Raid Question

Post by Djpharmacy »

Hello All, I have a TS 219P (2 Bay) currently with on Raid Mirroring 1 & 2 with 2 x 3TB Hard Drives. Its coming to the point I'm running out of space and wanted to know what is the max hard drives I can install.

Id like to install a 6TB on Raid again but I'm reading max is 4TB is that correct ?

If Max is 4TB Can I upgrade to 2 x 4TB and remove RAID and have total 8TB ? Will that work ?

I don't mind removing RAID as over the 10 years of having this NAS I've never had any issues its been an amazing so I'm happy to drop the mirroring RAID.

Thanks

no max disk size, but max volume size (16TB)

here is a user with 2x14TB (RAID1) disk in an x19 QNAP unit

That's crazy , Great - So to confirm , I can upgrade my 2 x 3TB RAID 1 to 8TB. But could go as far as 16TB RAID 1 , is that correct ?
Thank you.
