Hello everyone,
I have a TS-673A running h5.0.0.1892.
The NAS is Fully populated, 2 NvMEs (on-board) +3 2.5" SSD + 3 WD 3TB Red Spinner.
Lately, I've noticed only the first 4 Disk LED lit up, even when read or write happens to pool 3(The spinner pool). Disk 1,2,3 is in Pool 2 and Disk 4,5,6 is in Poole 3.
All LEDs are lit up red(orange?) when switching to disk locating mode.
Otherwise, everything is working as it should. Proper read-write, all software ok.
I wonder if this is a software bug or a pre-sign of something more serious. A few months ago I burned myself with a good old Red-LED dead TVX-472XT (R.I.P+), so I'm trying to be a bit more cautious now.
The Box is barely 4 months old.
Any tip or info would be highly appreciated!
Thanks!
Mike

Re: TS-673A Disk Satus LED
There is always the chance of all disk access as the system is on all disks
you can check actual disk or group usage via the GUI
Resource Monitor >> Storage Resources >> Volume/RAID/Pool/Disk activity

Re: TS-673A Disk Satus LED
Hi dolbyman,
Thanks for the speedy response.
Followed your guide checked the disks. Everything seems to be ok. On access, all 3 disks in that pool are being written, roughly with the same speed. Disk Activity shows under single disk activity and raid/striped tab as well. So as I said before the disk is accessible, and pool 3 works as expected. Although the disk status led, (above the disk bays) only lit up above the first disk in the pool. That is disk 4. Disk 5 and 6 LEDs are "dead".They are only working at disk location mode.
Pool 3 is constantly being accessed by backups and Plex.
Only those pesky little green LEDs are on strike.

Re: TS-673A Disk Satus LED
Hi dolbyman
Has been sorted.
Full shutdown + power cord remove , reattach.
Did the job. Hopefully this is not something like my tvs-472xt had. Dying power management chip or something. Hope the best.
Thanks again.
