I want to upgrade our HDD(s) to a higher capacity. Our supplier offer us Seagate Exos 7E8 HDD 512E/4KN SATA 3.5 7200rpm (ST8000NM000A) like to know if it’s compatible to QNAP TS-869U-RP. TIA

Are you asking a "should it work" question or a "will it negate my warranty" question? Depending on what sort of answer you are looking for, you may want to enter a ticket with QNAP support.

QNAP could be years behind in actual certification as HDD vendors crank out new models monthly.

Fwiw, I dropped exos 18tb drives into my old ts-231P and it has been great.
