Sure they are not here yet BUT will they work with our QNAP's???

Thanks for your information. Technically, no problem (currently most of RAID capacity is larger than 2TB), but we have to get a physical sample to ensure the function and compatibility, once been tested, we'll list the drive on
offical web page.

I understand that physical disks couldn't be extended beyond 2.1TB because it the LBA (logical block addressing) limitation on 32bit machines. 48bit-LBA solves this issue, but in order to do this you need a 64bit operating system.

3TB drives are good news! It means prices will eventually get pushed down on 2TB drives. That makes me happy as I am trying to hold off on buying enterprise drives for my NAS.

Well I sure hope that these will work in my QNAP when they come out. It would push the capacity limit to 15 TB and 24 TB on your 8 bay version's
