Re: TS-509 Pro & 3TB drives

Although the thread is old, I thought I would report that I have the "good" version of the TS-509 Pro and it has successfully recognized my new Seagate 4TB NAS drive, and is currently rebuilding.

I'm sure there will be people out there curious if this unit will work with that large of a drive, and so far, so good.

I am RAID-6, with 2x2 + 2x3 + 1x4.

Eventually we will upgrade one of the 2TB drives to a 4TB, primarily to ensure we don't have longevity issues with the older 2TB drives.

Once upon a time, I lost two drives in a RAID 5 configuration (5x2) and lost 40% of our data, plus another 20% that was not lost but corrupted.

Which explains why we now run RAID-6. :)
