HP Laserjet P1005 in Qnap 219+ in usb 1 slot
look like it's receiving print info and said it's completed but nothing is printing on the printer side
also look like when installing the printer in a window 7 desktop qnap is not supplying the driver when installing the printer

Men, I'm really sad. First, the Surveillance Pro with a single cam recording. Now, I can't share my Samsung ML-1665 printer thru the NAS.

I sent the error_log in the other topic. I hope for the best.

resta wrote:Instructions on Installing HP LaserJet P1102

The printer has a built-in fake CD-ROM feature which prevents it from working correctly on non-Windows PCs. Once it is connected to a Windows PC, a CD-ROM appears containing Windows drivers. In order for HP LaserJet P1102 to work correctly on a non-win PC, you must disable this feature.

1.Connect the printer to a Windows PC. (Unfortunately you have to connect it to a Windows PC which is too bad.)
2.Insert the original driver CD. (The physical CD-ROM that ships with the product, NOT THIS FAKE CD-ROM).
3.Run SIUtility.exe or SIUtility64.exe from UTIL folder to disable this fake CD feature. (It's called “HP Smart Install”

Now, life becomes easier. Connect your HP LaserJet P1102 to your NAS.

luukske wrote:Just had a similar issue with the Canon MP550, where the job was sent to the printer, but never came out, and I managed to solve it: connect first the printer via USB directly to the Mac. The Mac will tell you that it needs to download the drivers for the printer. After you have downloaded and installed the driver, unplug the printer from the Mac and delete the printer from the print&scan menu.
Now connect the printer to the qnap (make sure the bonjour service is enabled under usb printer section). Then go back to the Mac, add a printer, choose it from the list (bonjour will find it automatically) and select as driver the driver you have just downloaded (so no airprint or generic driver!).
Done, it should now print.
Been struggling with this issue for ages. Thanks luukske.. this solved the problem. Finally! ... and so simple.

I've got an HP Deskjet 1000 which doesn't work with my QNAP TS-459 Pro+ running the latest firmware (3.8.3 Build 20130426).
That printer works fine from Linux so I don't know why you don't support it :-(.
Running "lsusb" on the qnap shows "Bus 002 Device 005: ID 03f0:8811 Hewlett-Packard" as expected, but nothing shows up on the web interface.

Hi!
The thread is a bit long and I did not see if it has already been reported by someone; however, I reflected a strange problem, sometimes I was able to use the printer but I have not understood what is the winning combination :-0

Meanwhile, I get messages like this:

Code: Select all

Level: Error
Number of USB devices connected is over limitation.
but there is only one USB connection and that the printer HP LaserJet P3005 on NAS TS-469 Pro with firmware 3.8.3 Build 20130426.

However apart from a few times that I managed to make a couple of printouts now does not go for nothing, while the old printer-server d-link works wonders. :S

Here are some extras:

I wish I could use a reliable turbo-nas as printer servers on the network, adding, among other things, a second printer.

Thanks,
Arturo.

TS-212 & Dell Photo AIO Printer 924. NAS sees it, PC sees it - installs - print doc and nothing happens.
event log = System 127.0.0.1 localhost [Printer] Printer Photo AIO Printer 924 added. (no other events)

My Samsung ML-1660 will appear in the admin of my QNAP TS-412, I can follow setup guide and install the printer in Win7, it appears as installed and will allow me to print to it, but the printer spins for a second but will not pick up the paper or print. The printer works fine and normal when connected directly to PC.

Epson L200 & L350 series are not supported in Mac OS X. Only Windows clients can print.

Seiko Smart Label Printer SLP200

I have been using the above printer with my QNAP TS-101 for several years with no problems. I have now bought a TS-212 and cannot get the printer to work. The QNAP Control Panel says that the device is recognised but the Windows 7 Install Network Printer procedure does not see the printer.

QNAP TS-412
firmware: QTS 4.02
Printer: HP Laserjet M1120 MFP

Recognized as External USB printer: HP Laserjet M1120 MFP
Status: Ready

On windows 7, MAC OSX 10.7 and MAC OSX 10.9 printer has status ready

Print jobs are send to printer log in qnap, status of jobs are completed, but nothing is printed.

When computers are directly connected to printer, printjobs come out immediately.
With kind regards,
