Could an admin/mod please answer my question... I really want to know if QNAP will add the printer drives for printers we are having issues with...

I really want my HP Deskjet 460 to work with the server :/

Another Canon printer:

TS-209 pro & Canon S750 works fine together.

Only few problems with some driver features like double sided printing: it cannot be selected (grayed out).

Samsung CLP-300 works with TS-109!

And I can confirm it works with both Windows and Mac Clients.

However there is absolutelly no bi-directional functionality. I.e. you won't get any info back from the printer (status monitor won't work). I suppose this is the case with all USB printers hooked up via ethernet, isn't it?

The Canon Pixma IP4200 is also fully compatibly with the TS-201. I've seen it is no in your list.

HP DeskJet 950C is fine printing with TS-109 Pro - OK

but:
HP Network Driver brings an error when more than 1 side.
HP Lokal Driver is not able to print more than 1 copy.

TS-101 and a HP LaserJet 1018 not working
It says:
Manufacturer: Unknown ( 65)
Model: E
Status: Ready

It appears as a shared printer in windows and you can add it successful, but when you print nothing happens.

The same thing on TS-109

HP Deskjet 960c is working fine with TS-109 except certain Toolbox features like looking for ink fill, that means bidirectional communication does not work. But printing is perfect and fast, via cabled network as well as via WLAN router.

Afraid, HP is not very keen offering single-direction printer drivers for newer units anymore. Instead, the prefer selling more cheep printers cross-financed by overpriced ink - for every PC.

There are no dediated printer drivers in the TS-Series.

Complain with HP, and ask for unidirectional capable printer drivers for printer sharing. Good luck.
