The same on TS-419PII (4.2.0 20151118), CPS DX800E. I've checked all USB ports.
Every 15s update of status, very annoying.

This a bug or feature?

I got in touch with customer support months ago. I've sent them system logs and tried two beta versions of firmware and it still isn't fixed.

It isn't just "annoying" it means that if your UPS runs out of power, your NAS will crash, just as it would it you didn't have a UPS. Basically this firmware flaw, as well as making the sales claims untrue, are seriously reducing the protection from your UPS.

same here. USV over USB AND SNMP is "plugged in" and "unplugged" 569 times in 3 days. That's not annoying, thats a security failure.

Had the same problem

QNAP 419P on 4.2.2 (20161208)

Entries of USB unplugged every 30 sec or so.

I changed from the "Turn off server after power fails for...."

to

"The system will enter auto protection mode...."

I have no more entries in the system log about USB unplugged after that.

I guess this is OK for me, but then they should remove the other option from the UPS setup.

I've had the same problem on two TS-563 devices running nearly all versions of firmware 4.2 and now 4.3. The problem has never gone away during any of the firmware upgrades.

I had a similar issue on 4.3.3, I changed my USB lead and that fixed the problem

Going through my NAS and UPS connectivity I see the UPS should be connected to USB 2.0 ports not the USB3.0 (blue colour) don't know why other than to leave the USB 3.0 ports empty for ext. HDD, printer etc

Yea, OK... I'll do that, but in my experience that never does me much good. And I'm on the latest (4.3.6.0993 build 2019704).

Hi,

I'm facing the same issue, UPS usb disconnects and connects at a random time between two and three hours...
Did you solve the issue?
