Hello,
We have a TS-1283XU-RP. About a month ago we started experiencing an issue where the NAS doesn't apply permissions to all subfolders within a shared folder when creating a new user. Since our main shared folders contain thousands of subfolders this is incredibly frustrating. The only thing that seems to work (and not always) is to go to Control Panel -> Shared Folders -> Edit Shared Folder Permissions (for each main folder) -> Apply and replace all existing permissions of this folder, files and subfolders. This doesn't always work though, or may work after a number of times. It seems that something stops the NAS from completely assigning folder permissions. We run the latest firmware. What can be causing this issue?

Re: NAS doesn't apply folder permissions to all folders
Any ideas?
Here is an example:
The GUI shows user ae376 has write/read access to the shared folder, however when they tried to copy files into it they get a permissions denied message on Windows. It doesn't happen with the other users. Why is that? I have reapplied the permissions but it doesn't work yet. Maybe the 7th time is going to be a charm. But it is incredibly frustrating.
