Smartshare shared links dissapearing from filestation
Hi, I recently update my qnap system. Since that moment every single link that I create in filestation using smartshare dissapears after one day later. It only works for one day even when perpetual validity option is enabled. Could you help me whit this problem? Is there a way to go back to the old version? Do you know any other way to fix this problem? Thanks for your help. It's my first post.

Please stop exposing your NAS asap..I know it does not help with the issue at hand, but will save you from tears

I have the same issue - share links dissapear after one day. What's the solution?
I use NAS for commercial use and our clients are angry, they don't have access to their projects.

I hope you and your customer are using a VPN for connecting!neutrogena wrote: ↑Wed Oct 12, 2022 5:10 pm ...

If not, I guess they would be more angry when their project data is encrypted and they need to pay some 1.000 bucks for a decryption!
See link about Deadbolt information in my signature!
Stop such nonsens (sharing by links) asap and use a secure connection type!

Okey, I understand that there is something like Deadbolt, but it's not the question. I make backup on two external discs and this is not the issue either.
Should I understand that the qnap software/firmware disables link-sharing for security reasons?!? [I am not advanced user, I try to understand what's going on]

No, QNAP doesnt disable links.
Seems, that there is an issue for some models(?), at my TS-473A with 5.0.1.2173 all works fine, but in German user forum some people also reporting "disappearing" links.
Best is to create a ticket at QNAP support.
Regards

Many thanks for reply and information. I have just created the ticket at QNAP support. If I get any help/tip, I will let you know here later.

I have just got the information from QNAP that the problem will be fixed with a new firmare update - in my case (TS-130 model), it will be new FW 5.0.1.2183.
