Good evening.
I am in possession of the QNAP TS-431K and have noticed as of today a data transfer rate of no more than 11MB/S and I don't know where to check to see if it is a problem with the QNAP.
In the setting the negotiation is defaulting to automatic.
Any ideas?
Thanks

11MB sounds like a network segment is running in 100Mbit/s mode(after the NAS)..investigate please

Re: Transfer rate not exceeding 11MB/S
Good morning.
I apologize for the Italian interface, I had forgotten to change it to English.
This morning I did a data transfer test from two different PCs connected to the same swirch that is connected to the QNAP and I actually found a noticeable difference.
(Writing 11,23 Mb/S - Reading 11,5 Mb/s)
https://i.postimg.cc/HxSLgXNX/PC-MIMMO-vs-NAS.png
(Writing 88,67 Mb/S - Reading 108,16 Mb/s)

At this point I am assuming that the problem is not with the QNAP but with the network card in the pc, or am I wrong?
Thanks

Re: Transfer rate not exceeding 11MB/S
As said, 11MB seems like there is a 100MB connection in place, this can be a setting at PC or a wrong/broken cable/interface.

Network settings are correct

I also tried setting "1.0 Gbps Full Duplex" but nothing changes.

Re: Transfer rate not exceeding 11MB/S
You were right and I thank you for the suggestions, I SOLVED!!!
After hours of trying I went crazy.
I finally found the malfunctioning cable.
It was a commercial cable replaced by one I had wired myself and had it spare.
I now detected a more "normal" speed (80,7 MB/S)

Re: [SOLVED] Transfer rate not exceeding 11MB/S
A cable for 1GB need all 8 wires (+shield), if one (or even more) is broken, the transfer drops to 100MB. 100MB cables use only 4 wires (short explanation ).

Re: [SOLVED] Transfer rate not exceeding 11MB/S
Thanks for the explanation, evidently something like that must have happened inside the cable.
