Very slow SFTP speeds via File Station

Hi everyone, could use some help.

Using HybridMount to mount a remote device over SFTP. Download speeds are very slow, about 2 MB/s via File Station.

Remote = Netherlands
Local = United States

I know for a fact that my download speeds from that remote device are much better than 2 MB/s, here are the results:

Multi-threaded:
100 ms 33.79 MB/s 35.34 MB/s 35.59 MB/s

Single-threaded:
98 ms 37.51 MB/s 33.91 MB/s 34.07 MB/s

So I expect to be close to 30-35 MB/s but I am getting 2 MB/s, any ideas?

I have Gigabit Internet, a Gigabit switch, and a Gigabit Firewalla in router mode (gold). My virtual switch on my QNAP TVS-872XT is port trunking at 1 Gbps and in active-backup mode. For what it's worth, I also tried Syncthing from this same remote device and the speeds are a little bit better, ~5 MB/s. [EDIT] I also tested download speeds from the remote device to different devices on my LAN, like Chrome on macOS, and the speed is much more in line with the results above.

Hello,

I've been trying to solve this problem for a year. Even Qnap support didn't help. i have 300Mbit Internet but the maximum speed SFTP/Hybrid Mount was 30Mbit.

I gave up and installed Filezilla VIA Container Station. Works great - max speed.

Interesting, glad to know I’m not the only one . I doesn’t seem to just be file station but also any sftp method, I tried the CLI via ssh on my QNAP and it was still very slow.
