I am running Qnap NAS containing all my multimedia files.
I now need to connect to a Vero 4k which is an OSMC (Kodi) device and am trying to use nfs so that my multimedia files are accessible in my Kodi library.
I have configured the NAS following the details given in "How to access files on NAS via NFS from UNIX/Linux clients?" but am less confident about NFS permission mapping. I have ROOT_SQUASH enabled and UID as guest with the whole of the subnet enabled for host so that I can connect to a dhcp client on the same subnet.
On the Kodi device I have set up my Videos using nfs://<device IP>/Multimedia/Videos/
This does not work. One possible cause is that I cannot see the full unqualified address of the files I am pointing to but am starting here and asking for help please.
Connecting Kodi client to Qnap nfs help please

Re: Connecting Kodi client to Qnap nfs help please
I can now see the shared Multimedia directory from Kodi but cannot access the subdirectories. It must be a permissions issue. Is there any documention which I can use to help me find solve the problem?
