I have a TS-831x that I have somehow messed up the access to. From Qfinder Pro, when I try to map a network drive to a shared folder on my Windows 10 PC, I get an immediate Network Error pop up saying "Windows cannot access \\I.P. address. You do not have permission to access \\I.P. address. Contact your network administration to request access.
I have no problem accessing the NAS via Qfinder Pro or directly entering the IP address of the NAS into the search bar of a web browser. Please help if you can.
Joe

Re: Windows cannot access \\192.168.x.xx Network Error
Hi Simon. I currently have highest set to SMB 3 and lowest set to SMB1.
Note: Works fine from another Win 10 computer. I must have buggered something on this particular computer.
Thanks!

Make sure your NAS did not land on the blocklist of the NAS
Some AntiVirus are known to cause that

Hi dolbyman. I am ignorant about blocklist and don't know where to find it, on the NAS itself or on the PC. I have Malwarebytes and disabled that to no avail. Thank again.

Re: Windows cannot access \\192.168.x.xx Network Error
Thanks. My NAS is set to allow connections only from the list and the list is a single entry with an IP range that encompasses xxx.xxx.x.2 through xxx.xxx.x.254. I also set it to allow all connections but that didn't help either. Maybe I need to reboot before the change is effected rather than just "apply" the change.

No need to disallow connections .. a NAS should NEVER be exposed to WAN networks anyways .. so disable it try again (and yes maybe try a NAS reboot)

Roger that. I'll allow all connections and reboot.

Re: Windows cannot access \\192.168.x.xx Network Error
I received a response from QNAP tech support and they recommended that I reset the network on the offending PC and that restored normal operation. Network reset can be reached by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Network Reset.
