QR CODE+SHARING FOLDERS

Post by DrJames »

Hi,
I've a spare NAS TS-259, that I'd like to use to share folders with my clients.
The usage cenário is: 1 unique QR Code for 1 unique folder. Scanning the QR code will directly point to the read only folder. No user/pass required.
This folder will be available 2/3 years maximum and then will be deleted.
Probably, I'll have more than 500 folders shared.
Questions:
Is it possible & recommended to do it with a qnap?
If so, what apps to use? Any tutorials about it?
Or do you recommend to use an external service?
Thanks in advance.

No.. any sharing of your QNAP would bring you to one of the Ransomware threads (where people have to pay Bitcoin to restore all their encrypted files )

See here

viewtopic.php?f=45&t=160849
etc

If you want to share files with clients, use a sharehoster, something like dropbox, onedrive, etc

The links could be turned into 2D barcodes if you so desire (there is tons of websites that would do that for you)
Here is one that leads to this very thread

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
