Is it possible for one NAS to Read/Write to a share mounted on second NAS that is on the same network?
Any links to this topic?
Thanks!

Re: NAS to NAS File Sharing
Which NAS models, which firmware versions?
Usually this should be possible with a remote share and the app Hybrid Mount (if this is available for your NAS).

Re: NAS to NAS File Sharing
I have an old 2-bay TS-219P / 4.3.3.2211 and TVS-471 / 5.0.1.2376
I am using the older TS-219P as my camera server, but it does not support the QNAP QVR Pro app.
I would like to make the video files on the TS-219P accessible to the TVS-471 so that
I can view the files via the QVR Pro app available on the TVS-471.
I would like to avoid hosting the video files directly on the TVS-471.
Both NAS's sit on the same gigabit network.

Don't think Hybrid mount is available on old CAT1 units (TS-219) but you could mount the 219 on the 471 (via hybrid-mount), but I have no idea if you can store QVR recordings on a different SMB target. (I do not use that app)

Re: NAS to NAS File Sharing
Thanks. I was able to mount the 219 on the 471 (which is handy to have.)
Unfortunately QVR Pro on the 471 requires dedicated shares, QVR Pro will not use the hybrid shares on the 219.
