Qnap support team provided me unofficial FW build 4.3.6.1013 20190724 for TS-EC879U, and I tested it, NFS file permisisons issue seem to be fixed.
For this QNAP unit, build 4.3.6.1050 mentioned by MeatLips is not officially available.

Hi Folks,

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I think it's someway relevant to the issue we are having. Last week we re-initialized our TVS 871T and , after solving the issues we developed with the network and virtual switch, the last hurdle seems to be that we cannot mount via NFS, only SMB. We are multiple Macs connecting via thunderbolt and 10GbE , using the NAS as our edit server for Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X. When we try to mount via NFS, we get the warning "You do not have permission to access this server". Has anyone else encountered this issue, maybe since updating to 4.4.1.1086 ?
