Grant RO access to a subfolder only

Hello,

Within the QNAP-NAS, I have some shared folders, I want to grant RO access to a specific sub-folder, so the user will access the subfolder directly without going through the folder tree.
I've tried to grant RO access on the subfolder level only but the access still denied !

Maybe you could create a new share, manually point it to your sub-folder, and assign read-only access to it?
