QNAP NAS Community Forum

Hi Guys,

i have a qnap ts412 at my home ans another qnap ts210 in my parents home.

We both use the qnap to record movies with a satellite receiver (dreambox)

my question,

Is it possible to have a folder in my qnap linked to my parents qnap recordings folder and vice versa ?
I don't want to replicate the files since they are 9Gb each, i just want a folder that have a link / acess to the others qnap.

sure..get two routers that support site to site vpn (don't do the vpn on the nas as they are slow enough as is)
then you can mount folders between the nas as if they were local in one network


speed will be obviously limited by both parties internet speed
