Win10 streaming videos stopping

Post by jeffo169 » Tue Aug 06, 2019 10:49 am

Hello,

I am running windows 10 and trying to steam videos from my NAS, specically GOT i downloaded, its 1.5GB 1 hour video files but my videos keep stopping /cutoff during playback, I tried video players such as VLC, MPC and they all encounter the same problem... My NAS is not running anything else, the cpu and ram usage is less than 20% on it, same goes to my windows PC...

I am certain the problem comes from the NAS cuz when I copied the video files to local, I don't get such issues during playback.

Please help!

Hardware:
TS-453Be with 16GB RAM
Asus AC88U router
Windows 10 64bit (i7, 32gb ram, nvme ssd)

conenctions are all 1GbE

I map my qnap as a network drive on my win10 and directly double click on files to open and perform the playback, not sure if that is smb or dlna..
