Slow upload from PC to NAS
Hey everyone, new here. But I'm running into an issue of severe slow speeds while uploading to my QNAP 251+.
Running 2x 10tb Ironwolf NAS drives in RAID 0 (Yes I know)
Using a USB 3.0 5Gbps Network Adapter which runs to a MikroTik 10g switch using CAT 7 cable 10' long
On my PC running a 10gbe ethernet connection to the switch using CAT 7 cable 10' long
All equipment is less than 2 months old.
When downloading a 7GB file from NAS via mapped drive on Win 10 I get around 390mb/s
Uploading the same file back to NAS, I get 50mb/s
Not sure if I'm in the wrong, but I'm pretty sure I was receiving at least 110mb/s on my gigabit connection, how is this slower?! Any assistance would be appreciated.

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
try a direct connect (pc to adapter card..no switch)
I have a cheaper trendnet 5GbE adapter..that is hovering just over 300MB/S to my 951X .. not great..but certainly better than 1GbE

Yeah, I have no problem with download from NAS which is great, it's the upload that's frustrating.

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
I don't know if this is related but I've struggled with file transfer speed for some time. As an example, over wifi on the same network, I can download a file to my mac using AFP in apple explorer at about 40MB/s (I've just timed it). If I use File Station, QFile or QfileHD, I get about 1MB/s. Same file, same server, same network.
Any ideas what's going wrong?

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
Have you ever found a solution for this issue? I've exactly the same issue with a TS-453s Pro, qna-uc5g1t, 3x EVO 860, MikroTik 4-port 10G switch, CAT7 cable and a ASUS 10G PCIe card.
I'm also getting around 400mb/s in download speed and 40-50mb/s max in upload speed.

So I have the same issue, slow upload speed to another network drive. I noticed that this problem started after the update HybridMount, anyone know how to downgrade the app?

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
Has anyone found a solution?
I have a TS-453A with the QNAP QNA-UC5G1T USB to 5Gbe ethernet adapter. My workstation has an Intel X520 10Gbe NIC and both the NAS and my workstation are connected using a CRS305-1G-4S+IN SFP+ 10Gbe switch to connect the two. All of the upstream networking gear is Unifi so I am completely unfamiliar with Mikrotik configuration.
When testing with iperf3, the maximum I get between my workstation and the TS-453A is between 500 and 600 Mbits/s. If I do an iperf3 with a laptop connected to an upstream 1Gbe switch, I can achieve the full 980+ Mbit/s from my workstation.

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
I too are having the slow upload speed, I get around 50mb upload to 451. I have tested on a laptop to a 10gb card on my pc and through several 10gb switches and same, got fast download and slow upload. Not sure what is wrong with these interfaces, probably a bad batch or faulty cables.

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
Mee 2, brand new T453D, upload 2T folder with Raw photofiles sized 50-70Mb, only 43MB/s.
Havning a 10Gb PCI card the connecting is stated being 2,5GB/s (the QNAP card speed), what am I doing wrong... 2 Brand new RedNas (8TB)
Havent tried download, as my computer WONT (for many hours trial...........) let me map a network drive to this new NAS, while my old Netgear always was mapped, but then broke hence new QNal, which apparently was a bad choice regarding speed and network access.
When I pres "Map drive" in Qfinder, the "mount "NASXX" comes up with the correct IP and protokol SMB/CIFS and when "OK", nothing happens.

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
Good morning, could anyone solve this problem?
I bought the QNA-UC5G1T adapter to improve the transfer rate of my TS251A NAS, but instead of improving, the transfer rate got worse. With my Gigabit network I reach 110 MB/s (Up & Down) perfectly but with the 10g (5g for the USB adapter) network I reach 400 MB/s download and 50 MB/s upload.
My settings:
2 pcs with Windows 10 (10G NIC)
1 NAS TS251A
1 QNA-UC5G1T
1 Mikrotik Crs305-1g-4s + in Router
1 FLYPROFiber 10GBase-T SFP + to RJ45 10G
1 Cat 8 Network Cable
Thanks
Sorry for my bad english.

Re: Slow upload from PC to NAS
Looks like this has been an issue for quite a long time! Posting here just to say "me too" and hopefully get notified if a solution is discovered.
I am using the QNA-UC5G1T adapter plugged into USB 3.2 port on QNAP NAS TS-453A (firmware version 4.5.4.1741). Results are very slow upload speeds from PC to NAS (50MB/s) but the download speeds from NAS to PC are as expected (280MB/s). The PC has a ASRock Z590M-ITX/ax motherboard with the Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Ethernet Controller chipset (driver version 10.50.511.2021) so full 5.0GbE speeds are not possible --- but I should be getting more symmetrical 280MB upload and 280MB download speeds.
