Good say all,
Server: intel64
Version: 4.5.1.1540
I've got an issue with homes directory.
homes and the users directories exist but users cannot access it when logging with their accounts in filestation or qfile.
The user gets 'folder doesn't exist' when trying to click on qsync directory and home doesn't appear in the directories list.
Please help. No one can access their files.
Cheers

Re: Users cannot access home/qsync folder
Good news everyone.
I've solved the issue by restarting the server.

Re: Users cannot access home/qsync folder
I had a similar instance of this. Users couldn't access home directory via the usual '//server/home' automatic user mapping share. Similarly even admin FileStation couldn't get to 'home_volume/home' (but 'home_volume/homes' was accessible). Thinking this was probably a samba (smbd) 'not generating symbolic links' daemon problem I went into 'Control Panel-> Win/Mac/NFS' and then 'disable/apply', 'enable/apply' microsoft networking. Basically turned SMB off & on again Worked and it saved a full reboot.

Re: Users cannot access home/qsync folder
I have issues accessing the Qsync folder from windows explorer.
I use the Android qsync App and established pairing using my user.
For test reason I created a paring with Androids Download and "Qsync/Downloads" folder.
In the Downloads folder I can see all my files but on the NAS nothing is visible.
Only thing is visible in FileStation is an empty Qsync entry:
No /home/Qsync, /home/.Qsync or Qsync share is visible

Re: Users cannot access home/qsync folder
Hi, does anyone has a clue how to access the synced qsync folder on NAS side via share or via QNAP Filestation?

Re: Users cannot access home/qsync folder
OK, i learned that there is a difference how "Qsync Pro" and "QFile" for Android works.
"Qsync Pro" uses "Qnap Central" on NAS but it seems "Qnap Central" does not support exposing the synced folder as a SMB share.
Because I don't want to use the "Qsync Client" on my Windows Box to access the synced files (another reason is that I can't used it either on a Linux workstation) I'll remove "Qsync Pro" from my Android.
