This is all done local and not through a firewall w/ forwarding at this point.
TS-569 Pro w/ latest FW 4.3.2.1632
FTP = enabled (no anonymous)
User created and applied to FTP root
Also created different users all with same result.
When I attempt to connect to connect with web browser (IE, Chrome, Edge) > nothing happens ~ no credential prompt.
FTP://{ipaddress}
Also tried: FTP://username:password@{ipaddress}
When I use a FTP Client (WebDrive 2018) I can connect - works fine and maps drive.
However, WebDrive will fail the test with no credentials applied.
Works fine with credentials applied.
Can get file listing in File Explorer.
I can also connect from the command line but that is quite awkward and am doing testing for clients and that will be too confusing.
I also have another Microsoft FTP server (on 2008r2) that works fine with web browser (prompts for credentials) and of course works with FTP Client WebDrive.
Mostly don't know why there is no credential prompt from the QNAP Server.
I think it is a credential error but could be MS related too.
Any help?
Cannot connect to QNAP FTP through Web Broswer

I believe current browsers are removing ftp support. See https://chromestatus.com/feature/6246151319715840

Thanks and a quote from Johnny Carson "I did not know that".
Tested it with IE and got the response I expected.
Appreciate the response.
