Lost connection (SMB and AFP) between iMac and NAS (wired configuration)

Post by Stefano1975 »

Hi everyone.
My TS230 works quite fine, but the (wired) connection between my NAS and my iMac (High Sierra) is often lost, using both AFP and SMB protocols.
Most of the times, it requires minutes to get my NAS shared folders appear in my network resources on iMac, while some other times, it only takes few seconds, however I often get a connection lost.
This happens only with my iMac. In fact, qFile on both my Android and iPad devices works perfectly. Maybe, it is worth mentioning that my iMac does not lose all connections with my NAS. In fact, my connection via Chrome to 192.162.1.XXX is flawless. Therefore, the connection failure seems to be linked to both smb and afp protocols.
Does anyone know how to fix this, please?
Thanks so much in advance.

Stefano
