I'm helping a friend to set up their small business office, and they need to be able to share and collaborate on Autocad (binary) files.
It all use to work fine with TS-453A NAS and one Connection using WebDAV before Covid ( Public IP / BT Router Port Forwarding to QNAP ). Things got changed and the Four Architect/Users want to work from Home now.
Is there any Possible Integrated Solution available from QNAP ( or along with any other Technology provider )
Tried G-Suite/OneDrive but its not giving message about File Locking, when two users access same file simultaneously.
CentreStack provides Windows and Mac cloud drive mapping with on-demand access and file locking for AutoCAD file types, but its quite expensive.
Any leads would be of great help.

First of all, never ever direct expose a (QNAP) NAS .. this will result in constant attacks and when exploits are found , no secure passwords or 2FA will save you .. malware will encrypt everything for ransom
Use a VPN, server in the office location, clients at home (can be hardware or software solutions).
I deal with clients that use CAD files and most have resorted to RDP endpoints in the offices. these files are too large to transmit via SMB over VPN (while you can beef up the office connection all you want, home connections are out of scope).
Depending on the models and assets loaded, YMMV though.
