Cameras have stopped working after firmware 4.3.3

Post by deallier »

I have upgraded to the latest firmware 4.3.3 Build 20170413, and am using Surveillance Station version 5.1.1.4.2 (2017/03/22). and since then my two Trendnet TV-IP310PI Cameras have stopped working saying that it cannot log onto the cameras incorrect user name or password . but i can log on though the browser ,
i have also noticed that the cameras will no longer reset to Factory default and where the user name used to say admin on the camera webpage it now displays -1 as the user name but i can log in with admin , and all this happened immediately after the update,

Are the camera's internet facing/exposed? It is possible they were scanned/hacked by botnets.

I would also open a helpdesk request with QNAP regarding the issue.

Hello, I have the same problem like you. This week end, i proceeded to upgrade NAS Firmware and since my cameras doesn’t work. I did uninstall and reinstall the software “Surveillance Station” but no effect on issue. The Qnap Camera config page indicate me “Wrong ID or Wrong Password”. I did connect on camera Webpage, my ID is working correctly. I created a new user with a new password, but I have always the same message “Wrong ID or Wrong Password”. So I opened a ticket in QNAP support, now I waiting a answer…

I have similar issue with Hikvision camera. one type is still working on 4.3.3 but other type quit alarm recording, thus it is recognized correctly (but configured as ONVIF).
Already opened a ticket.

Have the same issue after firmware upgrade. 31 x Trendnet TV-IP310PI's. Strangely, only the first camera is working. The other 30 cameras are not. I can browse and log into them with no problems. Just says 'Connection failed. The user ID or password is invalid.' when you hit the Test button.

Current firmware version: 4.3.3.0154

BTW someone suggested turning off authentication on the camera which worked for my Trendnets but is not the answer.

Hello,

Thanks to brandan's idea, I tested the HTTP authentication between the NAS and the camera.
By disabling the camera side, it works perfectly. So I go to the site of the constructor of the camera TrendNet and I recovered the last FW(fw_tv-ip310pi_311pi_312pi(5.3.4 170427)). After updating FW camera side, this works correctly with HTTP authentication .
Thank you for your good idea

Hi flcoste07

I confirm. This would explain why one of our camera's worked, because it was the only one that had the latest FW.

Thanks.

Ah, never mind. I updated the firmware from Trendnet site and all is well.

Tried disabling both HTTP and RTSP authentication and still get "Camera 1 disconnected." every time I try to login through Vmobile.
So Trendnet hasn't updated my camera since 2015 :-(

Yes I am already running 4.3.3.0188 and Surveillance Station is updated as well.
Bought a new camera that is also on the compatible list. Crossing my fingers it will work.
